High above the misty river, a baby monkey hung from a broken vine bridge. She held on with just one small hand.
Noah lay flat on the edge of the bridge and stretched. His fingers wiggled in the air, but his arms were too short. "I need a long, strong vine," he said. "But where?"

"I know," said a tiny voice. A little green parrot sat on a branch, shaking his feathers. "I'm Pip. The strong vines grow on the other side of the mist. But the mist is grey and cold, and I'm too scared to fly in it."
